Chairman Selection Committee Muhammad Waseem announced the national T20 squad of the Pakistani team at a press conference in Lahore.

Pakistan's 20-member T20 squad includes captains Babar Azam, Haider Ali, Khush Dil Shah, Hussain Talat, Danish Aziz, Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz, Zafar Gohar, Fahim Ashraf, Amir Yameen, and Emad Butt.

Besides, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Hassan Ali, Usman Qadir, and Zahid Mahmood are also part of the squad. Musa and Wahab Riaz have not been included in the squad.

On this occasion, the chairman of the selection committee Muhammad Waseem said that the decision for the T20  squad of the Pakistani team has been taken after the most consultation and the T20 World Cup has also been kept in mind.

It should be noted that three Twenty20 matches between Pakistan and South Africa will be played on February 11, 13, and 14 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

According to details, former captain and wicketkeeper Rashid Latif while talking on YouTube channel said that head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has played an essential role in the selection of the T20 team for the T20 series against South Africa. There is a team.

Rashid Latif also advised chief selector Muhammad Waseem to establish his authority in team selection.

"When I found out that middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed had made it to the 20-member squad, I called him Misbah's team," he said.

Rashid Latif said that if the team was selected on the basis of performance, then Sohaib Maqsood, who performed brilliantly in the Pakistan Cup, should not have been out.

The former captain said that Mohammad Amir and Hafeez are the players who will return to the squad.
